Really appreciate your views etc but I dont have a problem with it, we prefer random grids thats all. Personally I cant see how a young driver benefits from starting at or near to the front in most heats and finals. Surely his skill would be better received starting at the back finsihing at the front. If the so called quicker drivers are causing carnage when the lights turn green whilst having to come through the pack then does this not just prove thats all they are quicker drivers without race craft. Always told you can only lose a race on the first lap not win it. Agree the quicker drivers do normally end up at the front and rightly so. They have used their skill got through the first corner avaoiding carnage and gone onto win. I'm sure they would have more fun coming through from the back to win or am i missing something. At the end of the day my son enjoys karting, whether its starting at the front, back or middle. Ask him if he prefers to win starting from the front or back, from the back wins all the time.
