The pilot in the Cadet is still making progress by the seconds (like 3 seconds faster than last training session or 8 seconds slower) and is too young (just turned 8) to provide good feedback, so I can't trust the stopwatch just yet. Once he drives laps that are within tenths of each other I can get valuable feedback by making a modification, check the stopwatch, revert the modification and check the stopwatch once again to see if the change gave a real effect or not. Therefore I'm struggling in the dark with chassis setup and am in need of advice from experienced mechanics/drivers. One advantage I do have is that I started driving a Rotax Max myself, and can test changes on that kart before applying to the Cadet.
