Surely most of this will be down to market forces. Are there enough MSA licence holderrs to support a regular club meeting? If not, then the track owners will look at filling that space with corporate or non-msa events. We never raced at GYG but most drivers rate it as a great track - so why don't they enter? The complaint against Wigan was that too many people wanted to race and were allowed to do so. Is it the MSA that should be most concerned about tracks moving to non-msa or the ABKC? Is non-msa really much cheaper? Maybe you could make savings on non-performance enhancing items such as washers but once you allow free choice of tyres, any engine mods etc then it seems you are moving more towards having fun on a track than good competitive racing.
