Spending 30k a season on a 9 year old cadet and not winning at club level is pathetic. I'd be embarrassed to tell people if I was spending half that without success and I think it speaks volumes about the mentality of some parents. Still, as I've pointed out before, throwing money at a problem until it goes away is likely how those people live their lives so why shouldn't they do the same with karting? Coaching obviously has to cost money but has it occurred to that guy that the reason his kids getting beaten in cadets is because the other drivers are more experienced? I can't wait to see how much the super one winning iame cadet motors are going to sell for once those drivers move up to minis. Not a bad incentive to win super one - mke the association with well coached and talented driver to get maximum moolah for the kit to contribute to recouping some of the costs of coaching.
