TKM tyres should last for several meetings without a problem. In practice a TKM is just like a bigger version of a cadet kart. The chassis is pretty simple, with no torsion bars or camber / caster adjustment to complicate set up. Engines and carbs are pretty straightforward also. Once you have paddle height and pop-off set then maintenance is largely routine cleaning and diaphragm replacement every couple of meetings or so. Carb adjustments do not vary much, so its easy to be close to a good working setting. Push starting is surprisingly easy. If you do struggle, however, then someone else will quickly lend a hand. I suggest having a test, Id be surprised if both driver and mechanic didnt come away with a big grin.
