we attended the Rowrah o plate, thought it would be a good experience for my lad go see what the "supposedly" best drivers were like to measure him self against since we cant afford to do S1, out of 6 heats on practice day he only made one session until the end, the rest only about 2-3 laps, fired off at every turn, in the end he was so demoralized he decided he didn't want to race, and I didn't want him getting hurt or have his kart written off. any warnings NOPE! not one. we race at SYKC the month before, and ill have to commend them! first time we have raced there in juniors and he was fired into the barriers at the hair pin, just used as a break, but they immediately called us into the office to deal with it and the lad held up his hands and got a grid penalty.Didn't expect that, so well done to them! will definatley be attending there again, It should be the driver following to make sure they can stop, period! I don't think my insurance firm would accept it if I went into the back of someone and said he broke too early.
