Most clubs are run by volunteers with day jobs. They devote a lot of time to running the club/meetings. Many have tried to find ways to engage members and get attendance at their AGMs but maybe they have just given up.
Why not contact your club secretary and offer to join the committee as `membership liaison'. Then over the next year, use email, social media or whatever to canvas members opinions so that you can feed back to your club and onto the ABKC. I feel certain that if you send Graham an email showing number of members canvassed, number of replies in favour and against an issue then he will pass that on at the next ABKC meeting. They do not have their heads in the sand or resist change at all costs but getting drivers/parents to express their views is very difficult - so help them!
