Explain HOW it can 'rescue a heat'? What it CAN do is allow you to recover from a spin or an off.... BUT.... you will already be out of contact with the leaders and thus the heat is LOST ANYWAY!
There is the second down-side! I'll bet you that you would drive your road car more carefully if you didn't wear yourt seat belt and carried a spike on the steering wheel. Safety measures DO make us drive less cautiously. You are claiming that your clutch is a similar 'safety measure' in that it allows you to make errors. Those of us WITHOUT Clutches seem to make more EFFORT to recover from an off or survive the spin becasue that spin MIGHT be 'terminal'. With a clutch, you are more likely to think, 'oh I can just re-start at will so I don't NEED to catch this spin/off'.
You may believe that the clutch has as many advantages as disadvantages. It's noticeable that most TKMers DON'T agree with you! And not ONE of the CURRENT crop of 'leaders' do!
