Eat all the mince pies you want mate, atleast i'll be able to beat somebody next year! The min weight for SENIOR TKM is 148kg. I'm 10 stone 11 lbs and have to put on 5kg of lead to make the wieght. Direct is the way to go, running a clutch is just something else to go wrong (and they do) If you spin with a clutch, then fair enough you can get going abit quicker than having to jump out and push start it, BUT - once you've spun the leaders will be so far ahead that you'll never catch them anyway. As for starting a DD on your own, they are easy so long as you know how to do it, invest in an easy start wheel (bolts onto chassis) it makes it a doddle to start on your own. The TKM lads at Hooton are a friendly bunch of blokes who always help each other out so you wont be stuck if you need help. Wave goodbye to the seals !!
