Rotax are working hard to make the engines within a tighter window than ever, also the new cylinders will be as good as anything out there, but equal to best. This was what I heard the aim was.
This will make IMHO what is already a very fair class even more level.
And before people start banging the old engines for massive amounts of money, the guy who won the euro and british snr max finished 2nd at the world finals on stock equipment supplied by rotax.
He finished 2nd to a also English Driver Ben Cooper who is a regular front runner/champion in Rotax. So this in its self goes to show that the special equipment thing isnt really as true as people make out, as these guys are front runners on own equipment and also rotax provided equipment, thus proving they deserve to be at the front without rumoured special equipment.
