So what would be wrong with the general set of rules as follows:-
1) Club meetings, and/or newbies/black-plates, and/or first round after rule change: all should be dealt with more lightly SO LONG AS: the offence doesnt give a significant performance advantage and does NOT significantly increase risks to driver or anyone else.
In the above cases, scrutineers should warn offender and ask them to change before the first heat or, if not practical, by the next meeting. Driver warned that they will not be allowed to take podium or not win cups in any case while vehicle is raced in this condition.
If the breach of rules significantly increases risk, then driver must not be allowed to race. If the breach gives significant performance advantage, the scrutineer CAN allow the driver to race so long as there is a reasonable expectation that they will NOT finish above halfway up the grid (e.g., a complete novice, Black Plate driver). 2) National Rounds should be run TO THE LETTER of the rules. No exceptions!
that would STILL mean that kerbs are NOT to be used because there IS a SIGNIFICANT performance advantage!
