The racing was good to watch in all classes, but I agree with your comments about the flags.
I too saw a couple of dodgy moves in the cadets and a couple of other classes, but no warnings.
Blue flags were also in short supply and it cost one bloke the final (one of the senior classes, possibly max)and nearly did the same in one other final.
I think the problem is a general shortage of marshalls with enough experience to 'call' a warning without worrying about it. Some marshalls turn up with all the best intentions but do not get enough training before being being put into what is a responsible position. But let's face it, experienced or not, we wouldn't be racing without them, and so it's difficult to criticise a volunteer sitting in freezing conditions being paid a tenner (?) for all day.
