If you are concerned about wrecking the kart mechanically, then I would be more concerned about damaging it, running it at Matchams.
I'm sure there are people on here who will totally disagree with me and say that Matcham is safe as houses, but I would not risk my kart there.
Have a think about Clay Pigeon. Its a bit further than the other two but you do have a permament shop with friendly helpful staff should you need advice or parts. If they have it in stock, they usually price match anyone on the net so its not any more expensive.
There is also a good grid of 177 at Clay and we have just started the masters as well.
Best day at Clay is the friday if you want unrestricted track time at your own pace, rather than 10 minute stints.
