I hadn't realised YOU were an 'oldie' too!

You should know we are on the same 'side' about Rotax.... we do NOT disagree.....

I feel the same about them as I feel about Macs, Porsches, Nike Plimsoles etc... 80% of EVERYTHING about each of them is HYPE and MARKETING (and buyer gulibility!) and less than 20% is about a product which does what it CLAIMS 'on the tin'!

I do NOT feel that they are WORSE than other engines but I get completely INFURIATED about smug claims that they are SUPERIOR to the other motors as it makes SUCKERS out of newbies in our sport!

The Rotax DOES have a place in karting and it DOES offer something which people LIKE..... however, the fact that some people like X Factor, Emmerdale, Gavin and Stacey, Dale Winton, Ginsters Pies etc., does NOT make THEM the BEST product, either!
