Paul (kartcollector). I think I know what has occured here. Sometimes when coming in from a race the driver is forced to go slow which wets the plug due to low rpm, from the wet plug you have deduced the motor is rich when it is not. The pulse pipe is still pumping fuel but the engine is having to run slow because of a twisty exit pit lane. I suggest you get your driver to Pinch the fuel pipe on the way in from a race to obtain a more accurate plug read. If you ever get lost with your carb settings and cannot be sure which way to go 2 1/8 low and 1/8 High is a very good point of start. Personally I run 275 ml to 5 litres fuel but I understand many extremes run less oil around 260ml to 5 litres fuel. I would not go much less than this as you may be starving your highly stressed Big end bearing of oil. Well done with the 2nd today, you must have had the carb settings spot on.
