Hello all, I've been testing my sons Mini-Max today at Rednall track, my problem is no matter what I try we are running rich.
we started on a 145 jet, going down to a 138, but still rich, various needle positions tried and is happy on clip 2 but the plug, exhaust port and piston crown are black?
The air filter is wet and the inside of the airbox is wet, I just can't think of a way or gettiong the carb leaner.
We are using a K98 needle, idle jet 60, needle jet 260, 3.6g floats with 3mm float level.
My oil mix was 125 to 5lts, I am going to reduce to 100ml. The engine is new,(dec 08 barrel) and done 7 hours, they were dynoed when built.
Can I reduce the jet further?
I know people arn't to keen to give "secrets" away but a point in the right direction would be really helpfull.
