At the moment u need (itproism XD) "bum in seat time" so don't buy a new kart as changing chassis to a "better" chassis really doesn't change anything when your still learning. That 270 quid could go a long way with practice days, rather than a new kart. I have a venom myself, and have been told from everyone else that has had them and paul carr himself =D that venoms are very good "novice" karts in the fact that there easy to set-up and start out with but once set-up can go quite well. I think at this time, bum in seat time should be your main priority, rather than a new kart, as sidepod bars etc.. don't matter for practicing, as long as it's safe.
What venom do you have then? I've got a "refurbished" Attack 2001 (hence the username lol) that took me about 2 years to build up from the bare chassis, but once your done it is soooo worth all the wait, the other day i was considering leaving karting, but just keeping it in the workshop, i was looking into getting a car, until i had a go of my kart again, now im planning on going again in a few weeks hehe I take it you haven't used the kart yet, as i haven't seen any posts about you using it (if you have, i apologise in advance) but using a proper kart, rather than a hire kart is so much fun, the speed even if it's a JTKM will blow you away when you first use it, just don't spin on the first corner like i did XD - And it was direct drive... hehe, i've only been out a few times in the last year, about 6 or 7 i think, but just keep the faith and it will all come together! Would be a shame to loose another newcomer. Thomas.......
