We have not got through turn one of a cadet final yet this year without being bulldozed out the way or driven over. No-one is ever seen doing anything. This weekend another kart came over the engine and flattened the steering wheel luckily missing my lad. The marshall didn't see a kart 2 feet in the air? When i voiced my concerns to an official his reply was, "if you think you can do a better job of marshalling then go and have a go". He also said that cameras were the only answer, and he would put 6 marshalls on turn one, but they don't have the staff. I was then told a story of a driver from a couple of years ago, who was known by the clerks, marshalls and all the drivers for excessive use of contact, but could never be caught. He was british champion, and that's probably why he was british champion. So what he was basically saying is that to win you have to use the bumper but just don't get caught. What chance have you got. . .
