Hi,

Just bought a s/h WTP kart for my son and ran it on a test at GYG last Sunday. Seemed to run pretty well but was spitting out oily fluid from exhaust. Think I've now sorted that by adjusting the L setting on the carb, was running far too fast-wheels were spinning on tick-over, now fixed. Have adjusted the H setting to 1.25 turns out. Got these settings from previous posts.

My question is that it appears to chuck out a lot of smoke when revving, I know it will throw out some esp. when just revved but this seems to be continuous-is it running too rich? Also seems to be some slight run-back of fuel into the air filter, not an awful lot but builds up over time.

BTW fuel mix is 200ml Shell Advance X oil to 5litres of unleaded.

Hope you can help-haven't touched a 2-stroke for about 25 years!
