In 50 years of karting, I have yet to meet many people at the beginning of their karting 'carreer' who DON'T claim their engine is FAST! Oddly enough, you almost NEVER meet a 'quick' guy who will even ADMIT they have a 'quick motor'!

Secondly, if I were to tune engines, I'd get MY Dyno calibrated so that a standard motor would show 35bhp on my Dyno! Why....? So that, without TOUCHING the thing, I could persuade the gullible that I must be the BEST tuner on the PLANET. Those who beleive Dyno's printouts would want to buy them.

If you think yours IS a 'special' motor .... lend it to a 'quick guy' and let him win a few races with it. The proof will then exist as to whether it really IS quick or not.... You won't need to advertise it: the quick guy will bite your ARM off to get it!
