Wow, feel like i smoke 40 a day now :-)
So, as hard as I sucked couldn't get it to seal completely. However it was only slightly leaking. Can't think of a suitable comparison but just a small trickle of air (fumes), actually quite a reasonable seal.
Using a bright torch & from outside they look quite clean, very flat & all the same, no nicks or cracks visible. But you can't see the bits that seal - so not much use really!
So question is, does anyone know if that's normal - has anyone else given their engine a good suck & if so what did they find ? !
Keen to know, the trip from the dummy grid is tough for my son to catch everyone up properly before the start. Oh and the engine is still under warranty (just)!
