I have seen quite a few bolts shearing off recently and someone is going to get killed.
The bolts shear without warning and by the time the legs have tranferred some completely useless information about 'Hmmm no brakes' to the brain cells several times, you're in the wall.
The design of brake pedal pivots is dire and is completely antiquated.
The pedal pivot should be supported on BOTH sides of the pedal on a shaft.
It's not rocket science to incorporate another welded support and eliminate the problem.
The pedal itself also needs a redisign to give more strength to the pivot area where it is welded, as these also are prone to snapping.
Karting has moved on and karts are now much heavier and more pressure is applied on the brake pedal by stamping than it was in the good old days.
