jake's93DAD, you make a valid point. It is clear that the ZIP nose design needs to be reviewed if a number of karts are being launched in incidents. I can see the design improves aerodynamic efficiency over earlier designs with vertical faces but safety has been compromised. This is not only evident in head on collisions but when karts are hit from behind they are lifted and the following kart can submarine the rear bumber of the front kart. I guess ZIP are planning a new homologation later this year to replace the Storm, maybe this will be an opportunity for the MSA to impose a single standard nose for all cadet chassis that take to the track together so there is no aero advantage of one nose design over another. In the interest of safety for our kids I believe we must lobby for a return to a nose with a distinct vertical face to reduce the risk of these launches. Regards
