John what would you estimate the costto be if you do the S1 championship in TKM? That would be more of a comparison with easykart.
What I consider the `cheque book' racing is where you start payingmaybe 10 times the cost of a new engine for one that has been through the tuners plus start paying for all the special parts like seats, floor trays etc.
Easykart is not dirt cheap but pretty competitive for a national series and this is mainly because everyone is restricted on what they can buy. OK, �3k-�4k is still a chink of cash but I have seen competitors in the Stars/S1 series who would spend this in a couple of rounds hiring big american motor homes. Nothing to stop someone doing TKM or easykart doing the same so you can spend loads but not where it really counts - on the track.
