The more I think about it the more it does not make sense. Wrong outcome from apparently misguided but well intentioned committee. 1. The rest of the world races Max on Mojo. 2. Vega reduced / eliminated PAH without telling us about it (and probably JAG too)and wrecked many peoples seasons 3. It appears that racers are having to adjust to totally different grip levels every time you play the "new Vega lottery" so why not once with Mojo?
Why would the clubs prefer us to run on Vega anyway???? Is there something we should know?
We tested some old Mojo's last Saturday - a set from the bin at a Euro round. Not a scientific, tightly controlled test I grant you, but maybe indicative with comfortably the fastest time of the day for us on a junior, then again on a mini (vs slightly less worn Vegas), and still looked ready for more decent laps. My kids liked the tyre characteristics (the comment was "felt planted")If these start off slower than Vegas, and end up faster, they are more likely to last long enough to be competitive over a couple of meetings so the environmentalists can love them too... As I said - In my opinion - Wrong decision.
