My advice would be to go ahead and do it by yourselves with somebody to help out/mechanic for you :), most teams will be happy to help you with basic setup of the kart. We entered super1 for the first time this year in kf1 with a very small budget and are speanding the same racing in supers as we were spending at club level. By no means are we battleing at the front, but this year has been a massive learning curve and we have found by racing in supers with the best drivers of the class, the experience gained and improvements at each round is much more enjoyable than a year racing the same people month in month out at the same track, and everybody getting themselves in a little rythm, but it isnt untill the best drivers come and put in a stonking lap that you realise that it is possible to go around that track that fast.
