the venom is a great chassis to start on. it wont be as competative as the jkh or tony kart, but its really easy to get used to and setup, and are meant to be great in the wet hense why so many people starting in tkm get a venom. ive been racing an 06 sidewinder this year, won a few novice trophies and after only 5 meetings im lapping at about 38.7 around hooton, most guys are doing 38.2/.3 so im about .5 off what the new stuff is doing. which over a ten lap race isnt a lot to be honest.
bear it in mind that in your first season you WILL crash and bend it so dont go out there buying really expensive equiptment, it will just be a waste of money. id steer clear of tony karts, their spare parts are a hell of a lot more expensive than jkh/ venom. so if you dont go for a venom go for a jkh.
