yeh sorry stevie LOL...i was scanning the lower posts and remembered id already talked to you! LOL....im crud with names!
not bad 1k for all that. things to look out for on an older chassis like that is that they arent selling you junk, ie are the tyres any good??? dont be fooled by having 10 sets of slicks that you wont need to buy any more, i had the same, and ended up throwing most of them out cos they were junk, same with wheels, and all the spares, make sure theyre the right type for the kart and not bent etc. also check the condition of the chassis, check for scrapes underneath etc...dont be lead to belive that massive chunks out of the bottom of the kart are the norm....my kart is pretty much scrape free underneath...just a bit of paint missing here and there. also you have to look out for cracks and welds, if they have been fixed properly. i had to get my chassis straightened earlier this year, had a bit of contact on the track but the kart handles better than it ever has done now, and is a lot quicker too. finally make sure your getting a half decent engine, how many hours has it done? what engine number is it etc?
having got my kart second hand, and being a bit wiser now, its aminefield buying second hand stuff, i got lucky and got some really nice kit and spares but knowing the pitfalls, id certainly know what to look for next time too.
come chat to me on sunday...if im not fixing stuff!!! ill give you a few hints and tips on what to look for etc...then go ask a few other racers, see what theyre opinion is etc.
