....HOW?
There's no point in having George Robinson put in a position to 'sort out karting'.
You simply MUST have the people who's a***'s are in the kart, having a MASSIVE say in what does and doesn't go on.
I wouldn't fancy being anyone who sells Alonso,Tony, Kosmic or Esprit karts because people are already talking about getting the cheapo Storm chassis to knock out at tracks.
Sales are going to be seriously affected unless they come to a compromise over this and either allow plastic chassis protectors or allow metal ones that WE ALL agree are ok.
We STILL have the Zip nosecone that we know is lethal but have had the chassis protectors banned for 2010 WITHOUT ANY CONSULTATION!!!!!
I've seen spanners, chains, chainguards, lead, a floortray, nosecones, sidepods, batteries, airboxes, mobile phones, wheels, exhausts, a nutgun, chunks of brake disks, numerous bumpers comprising of 7ft! of tubing and what they gonna do, BAN THE BLEEDING LOT?
Of course not! So why ban the protectors, willy nilly?
I can tell you there are clubs thinking of......
I don't see how you can call non MSA clubs, parasitic.
Karting started without the MSA and it might end without it.
And NO, they couldn't call it copyright infringement for carrying out safety methods and proceedures that may be similar to the Blue Book, and quite rightly so, these proceedures were copied from the original karting movement FOR the Blue Book anyway!
