Battries last far longer if they are seat mounted,there more likely to break if mounted on the chassis rails due to far more vibration etc through the chassis.
Me and a mate bought 4 battries at the same time (2 each) mine seat mounted his chassis mounted,he has broke both of his battries and borrowed one of mine and broke that too, while my seat mounted one is still going strong.
Also charge them with a optimate or oxford oximiser charger don't use a car charger it will burn them out.
Buy cheap batteries for practice and save your expensive one for race day.
These will be fine for practice provided they are seat mounted.
