Don't be paranoid about Rotax and cheque book results. It is posible to be competetive and win without spending mega bucks.
I have raced the last 2 seasons on the same chassis (OTK)and the same motor (1) with one full rebuild done at the start of this season and now just re-built again for 2010. And yes I have won heats and A finals in both seasons with average grids of over 20 so it can be done but only if you get everything right, chassis set up, preparation, jetting and of course the driving.
BTW. the opposition has not always been club drivers but National and International Championship winners on the grid at just about every event. All done without a team or a mechanic just someone to take care of the trolly and help with the lifting.
