i was testing the new TKM at the weekend, cant fault them WHEN they get up to working temperature !! has anybody else noticed that they take much longer to come on than the old ones ? Yes it was a very cold day but even still, the old tyres came on after one lap but these new ones are terrible for the first two laps. I can see carnage at the first corner after one rolling lap, anybody else think TKM's will need 2 rolling laps before the start ? but then will all the other classes start saying " well they have 2 laps, why can't we ?"
Blues have always had 2 laps and nobody said that, so i can't see that being problem. It won't add that much time to a race meeting, probably 3 or 4 minutes but you can save that by not having as many trolleys on track recovering binned karts because the tyres dint work on the first lap !!
Its also a safety issue, the tyres DO NOT work for the first 2 laps !!!
