A simple answer to your question..... if something in karting 'smells' like 'hype' then you can be 99% CERTAIN that it IS hype!
Use any axle which fits. If you believe that axle stiffness makes a SIGNIFICANT difference (and many of us DO NOT) then buy a couple of different but CHEAPER axles and thus have a 'spare' and a choiuce of axle stiffnesses!
The logic of charging high prices in karting is an interesting one. If you were offered an axle for �60 and one for �135, wouldn't there be a temptation to think that: "the �135 quid one MUST be better... or else WHY would it be MORE expensive?"! The answer to that is simple.... it's priced at �135 because there ARE idiots who believe that more expensive is BETTER than cheaper!
