Hi, were looking to move out of comer cadet into JTKM later this year and wondering if things are getting clearer with regard to whats the best kit to be on.
CIK chassis or not? - The original Talko advice was non-CIK for smaller juniors. Does this still hold true? I understand the new Storm has had good results in JTKM, and its been suggested to me that by the end of the year everyone will be on a CIK or CIK style chassis.
Grip and set up - I've already seen some karts getting horribly gripped up in hotter / rubbered-in track conditions. Is this down to older TKM chassis not coping with the new grippier tyres, or merely poor set up?
Is a conversion to a 50mm axle on the older TKM chassis the way to go, or is it marginal / unclear? TAG or not? Is there a significant performance disadvantage in going TAG, or are TAG, clutched and DD all about the same now? Ive also heard that there have been problems with the electronics on the TAG engine, is this the case, and if so have they been resolved?
Lots of questions I know, but any insights are appreciated!!
