I'm fuming myself, so I understand it.... It's making me look an idiot, and whilst it looks like I haven't got a clue, I can assure you I do! The effort that goes into making these programmes is vast........ 12 hours in every S1 programme just on the graphics alone, but as someone has said, it looks like I've knocked it up on a 50 camera phone. I can only follow it up and try and get a sensible resolution to the issues. The crazy thing is that although I've never been completely satisfied with Motors TV broadcast quality since I started, it was never this bad when I was doing it several years ago.... and what we produce now is better than it was then!
Hate to sound like I'm constantly making excuses, but when you see a timecode clock running in a programme and I didn't put it there, the black slug covering the image at the end, not to mention the general image quality compared to what I know I have sent them, complete with broadcast grading and audio checks that take significant time, it says it all. I have no control over it and i cannot tell you how frustrating this is. As I have already said, I will be calling them tomorrow and discussing it in some depth. At this stage it's all I can do, for now.
