As stated i have an interest in the TV side of the sport and have been actively looking for work in this area without avail since leave Uni. I have a very outsiders view, dont know anyone of you by face or real name but am pretty baffled at the whole TV Karting marriage.
Anyway surely the point is, Alan is being paid to do this, hes not volunteering his services, its his job, paid for by competitors and sponsors. S1 have an extra 280k over last year and a good chunk will be in Alans pockets.
Would you be happy if Kellogs made soggy cereals? When you thought you bought crispy crunchy nut? NO! And even if they send you a new box, it never quite makes up for the disappointment first time round.
While its nice to have it on TV, if it looks bad you arent raising the profile of the sport you are making it look worse and so far thats what Alan has continued to do.
