Maximum ride height and huge knobbly tyres may also be helpful this weekend! On a more serious note with regard to warming up on your stand/trolley, check your MSA Blue Book and you will find that running a kart without the driver seated and with feet on both pedals is actually not allowed and coule invoke a penalty from the CoC if done during a meeting, also some venues have strict noise restrictions that the act of simply running a kart motor anywhere other than the circuit itself may result in a breach of their local planning regulations so CHECK FIRST! I know we all do start our karts on the trolley much of the time but 95% of people are sensible and this is only done for a few seconds just to establish it starts not revving the nuts off it! The above rulings do however make a mockery of the Comer Tryton set up guides issued a while ago that actually have you revving the motor at 12000rpm on the stand, an instruction I believe was written by an MSA technical commission member!
