Well im off to see an old guy this afternnon at his workshop. He has been turning stuff on lathes for over 20yrs so knows his stuff with regards the correct carbon content. I understand where your coming from john, however i only do race for fun and when funds allow! I still need to buy the new mojo wets, my engine is circa 45hrs old and needs a total rebuild (circa 600 with conrod) and my wife and 2 daughters want to go on holiday in august!!!!! what with everything going up cost wise, im finding it increasingly hard to justify to her indoors the costs of the travel and entry alone! My last meeting cost me i would guess 140 for traveling, fuel, entry, brake pads. Not including my slicks are now worn, a meeting and practice old. I'd love a new clutch to stop these gremlins but if i had the best part of 300 laying around i would put it towards a rebuild. I really am racing to a budget here!! For 2 pins i would sell up and forget about karting but i live in an all female household and i need something "manly" to do on my own. I like the comrardary at the circuit and enjoy the banter so i will plod on as best i can. ( i understand females do karting as well and i mean from getting my hands dirty playing with the engine point of view, so no offence girls!)
