I'd appreciate some feedback on sparkplug colours.
This pic ( http://www.chrismobile.com/images/kart/162.jpg ) is a plug which has done approx 10 hours in race conditions, and I think looks spot on, although perhaps very very slightly lean?
In order to try and fix a poor bottom end (same day as running above plug), I replaced the 162 (which did the above plug colour) for a 165, the result being http://www.chrismobile.com/images/kart/165.jpg which is to be expected, very oily, after 2 hours of use.
So imho the 162 is the way to go (for the conditions on the day) but I'm just a fraction concerned its a bit lean. Although the engine never went over 65 degrees and was running a strip of tape (ambient was 17-18) so doesn't appear to be running hot.
I can go up one more clip position, what's the general consensus?
