Thats not a Vortex motor. It's a CRG, '98 homologation, probably an SW97 model.
Chassis is a TonyKart Extreme "big trangles", not a Mitox. '97 homologation. Good package in its day and set up half right it will rip an FR125 a new one
You can rev these to 17,500 or even 18,500 and get an impressive amount of time from them. Make sure the crankseals are good, carb is in good condition. Control revs with gearing rather than carb. By all means run it rich, but not pig rich, jet it to burn nice and clean.
Bob I have a Vortex VR-98, do you think you have a rotary valve drive nut for it? Here's a pic of the motor: http://overt.ie/files/images/racing/vortexfa.JPG
Real nice motor (havent run it, but it looks mint), but the guy I got it from evidentally didnt have a drive nut in there and ive been chasing him for long enough now.
