No matter what system you decide to go for, you will have to learn to fine tune it to your engine.
jet-tech, motronix, free CD, spreadsheet, there are lots of them out there. Some give you a better initial result than others, ultimately though, you still have to learn to read them and fine tune them to your engine. The better you get at that, the better the results you will get.
You say your current free CD software doesn't work very well, have you kept records of the various temp, press, altitude which you put into the calculation and what results it gave you? Did you then try going up and down jets to see if the engine performed better or worse.Without this sort of testing, you will never get the perfect setting, regardless of what you use.
