" At least with blue it tends to attract the older driver who is out for fun rather than trying to make a career."
Agreed.
"The only thing putting me off is the uncertainty from the msa and what theyre going to do with class structures from 2014. A recent article mentioned what classes they would protect and blue wasnt one of them."
Where did you see the article? The ABKC website for example refuses to admit that Formula Blue exists and I don't think I have ever seen Blues mentioned in Karting magazine.
I read the MSA green Paper and the responses and summaries for the White Paper and they seemed strongly in favour of Blues being both a Junior and Senior class in 2014. We are not allowed to know what conclusions the meetings have come to but I am planning to race Blue in 2014.
"And also the amount of equipment getting put up for sale on uk karting sort of put me off "
There's always a lot of gear getting put up for sale at this time, as various drivers plan for next year, uni etc. I don't see there being an unusual amount of Blue gear in the market place. I know it was down south but Clay Pigeon's last race had seven novice senior Blues in it, so they think there is going to be a class too.
