Email thread...
My original email to Graham Butterworth:
Can you please clarify if the intention is to run the combined inter-club and local club races, or whether inter-club races will be run as separate grids. The Kimbolton site states that they will be running a separate grid. I need to know so I can decide if we wish to run in both inter-club and club races on the day.
Graham's reply:
Totally understand your question. Problem we have is that while we have lots of registrations, we dont know exactly how many competitors we will get actually racing. I guess if races separate you could compete in both. Is busy but I did the same in the past!
My response:
Thanks for the prompt reply. Its a bit of a swings and roundabout one. The extra races sound potentially attractive, but with increased race fees (and practice fees?) and risk of race damage. There is also the prospect of juniors coping with 2 finals particularly if they are scheduled close together
Graham's reply:
Yes totally understand
Additional response from Martin Chesterman (HKRC - copied on an earlier email):
My website post was to give the drivers a choice... it is not compulsory. HKRC will still have drivers that are not taking part in the TKM championship so will want there own grids... hence the option... this obvouioly depends on overall numbers of TKM that will enter for the race weekend.
