Ian, The very poor spelling that is now rife in all forms of written media troubles me as much as it clearly annoys you, and I understand well the range of underlying social and educational reasons for this marked decline.
However, you have made specific reference to the poor spelling of other contributors twice recently, implying that your education and intellect is clearly superior. Might I suggest that if you are going to set yourself out as an teacher, it might be wise to make sure you consistently spell things correctly? Accuarcy or accuracy? (your first post on this thread). You appear to have four spelled correctly and three incorrectly. Discussion or discusion? (your second post on this thread) Both of your errors are just as wrong as infinate. We can all be caught out by spelling errors, typographical errors, grammatical errors and malapropisms from time to time, no matter how well educated, but most of us do not set ourselves out as teachers. When you start to cast aspersions on others, please make sure that you are an exemplar. Looking back very briefly into a random selection of your previous posts, you certainly are not. With respect, Jon
