Yeah I know that Russ, I don't filter the fuel but I have an inline filter. Everytime I check the top of the carb there is rarely any bits in the filter.
The problem I've got is that I've just started racing again with a bunch of used carbs that were bought off someone else and they all have problems.
When I used to race I didn't have problems with my carbs so I know how to maintain the carbs, I am just trying to work out why these carbs keep failing after about three sessions.
Rebuilding them is only fixing them temporarily a bit like when you have a t.v go funny and you give it a crack and it starts working only to go funny again in the near future. Rebuilding the carb is like hitting the t.v but it's not fixing the root cause of the problem.
Chris.
