Well there goes my optimism that I might have had half a chance in doing an average performance with my 30mm TKM chassis at Kimbolton.
What a weekend, my ribs feel like I have done a couple of rounds with Tyson after putting myself through a grip related bashing thanks to the new tyres. Started 5 seconds off the pace on old maxxis greens, found three seconds on new tyres but the kart was almost un-useable. It was the worst weekend of karting I have ever had, running around at the back trying to hang on to a bucking bronco of a kart.
Well I am not able to shell out for new kit, role on TKM Clubman. Please someone tell me they still use the old slick tyre????? If so does anyone want to buy a brand new set of wets that have done 5 laps (last session sat at kimbolton) and a set of slicks that have done 30 laps (only did two heats before calling it a day).
I also have another brand new set of tyres, hopefully Mr Turney will let me return these though! I am gutted, I loved the old TKM format it had so much more depandance on driver skill and balls when the tyres were less grippy.
