I apologise, I was not having a go, just pointing out my experiences with this engine,we are on our 3rd piston in 22 hours, the clutch was permanently engaged, this I think is what then caused the starter failures as at first it was fine, but once the clutch started to play up I was in effect pulling the whole weight of the kart on the starter, hence lots of snapped ropes or sheared pulleys,went through plugs at a great rate of knots due to the coil breaking down , as then did the replacement coil! our third coil now seems to be better , but how long this one lasts is anyones guess, as is how short a life you can get between carb rebuilds, we have also tried many different oil ratio's and found them to be no better or worse than the recommended 150ml, we have only ever used shell m as this is what we were told although we saw a couple of iame today with a nice pink coloured fuel in the tank today, so maybe shell m is not the oil to use, as it is a dirty castor oil!
