Formula TKM will run two club championships for 2-strokes in 2014 after getting the green light from the MSA to expand on the successful pilot series started in the Midlands in 2012.
The existing TKM Midlands Club Championship will run again in 2014 at Kimbolton, Shenington, Rissington and Whilton Mill with a second series to be known as the TKM Northern Club Championship running at Hooton Park, Wombwell, 3 Sisters and Rowrah.
A delighted TKM boss Alan Turney said: This is great news for drivers and clubs alike because it encourages club level racing combined with the challenge of running at other circuits which are not too far away.
The series we established in the Midlands has been very well supported and we hope the Northern one will be popular too. Already we have drivers talking about one for the South in 2015.
Both championships will be running in Junior and Senior classes with the possible addition of the TKM Clubman class in the Midlands subject to numbers.
Adds TKM Co-ordinator Grahame Butterworth: These events are the perfect way for drivers to take the next step up from club level racing giving them fresh venues and new drivers to race against with very little extra cost.
Provisional dates for both championships have been arranged as follows:
TKM Midlands May 11 Kimbolton July20 Shenington Sept 6/7 Rissington Sept 28 Whilton Mill Double header
TKM Northern March 16 Hooton Park April 13 Wombwell June 22 3 Sisters July 13 Rowrah August 24 3 Sisters Sept 21 Hooton Park
