raceinstructor i very much appreciate your input. so thanks for the advice, dont be offended, isnt advice and testing what its all about?
all im saying is that rotax state this in their own instructions? most importantly as i have already stated, if it was down to tyres i would have expect his times to have peaked and then decrease over time (race) due to tyres getting too hot, than his lap times improve, unless running pressures as high as 20-22psi is common in rotax with mojo d1? 14-17 the norm so im to believe. (amb temp 15/16* that day)
heat 1 high tyre pressures (22psi) quick lap times, high engine temp (69*) heat 2 lowered tyre pressures (17) to lower engine temp. (presumed that he had too much grip, ie high engine temp) tyre pressures only = slower lap times. engine temp (49-52*) heat 3 higher tyre pressures (20psi) = better lap times but lower engine temp 57* constant. final no change to pressures, more tape on rad, higher engine temp (66*) fastest times all day. go figure?
not much change in amb. temp throughout the day, stayed constant all day within a degree or so.
