Was it the MSA, S1 or Rowrah that decided to try standing starts for the Rotax round? Is it really going to happen or just be tried during practice and then used only if it works well? Obviously would not work with dd and maybe not with the Iame pull-start so don't really see the MSA trying to bring this in.
There was criticism on this forum over the O plate and standing starts was one suggestion to improve things.
Maybe just pit gossip getting ahead of itself. Bit like the comments that the MSA will reduce classes in 2017. From the ABKC nesletters it seems that the idea might be to restrict the number of championship classes to 2 per category - cadet, junior and senior but to still allow new classes for club racing.
